Job Overview

DHD Consulting is seeking a skilled Project Controls Manager to oversee and guide our project controls team. This role involves direct supervision and mentorship, ensuring effective coordination and workload management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed project cost estimates and forecasts throughout all project phases, including design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Financial Analysis: Track and analyze project costs, including budgets, commitments, actuals, and forecasts, utilizing Earned Value methodology for comprehensive variance analysis.
  • System Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of project controls systems, recommending improvements in tools and methodologies.
  • Work Breakdown Structure: Establish a project work breakdown structure aligned with industry best practices.
  • Bid Review Support: Assist in analyzing project control requirements during the bid review process to ensure cost control measures are integrated into contracts.
  • Collaboration: Interact with various project groups regarding cost codes, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Budget Development: Aid in creating detailed project budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Project Cost Control: Collaborate with senior management to oversee overall project cost control efforts.
  • Schedule Management: Work with scheduling teams to develop and maintain integrated project schedules across all execution phases.
  • Resource Identification: Assist in the early identification of long lead items and resource constraints.
  • Reporting: Manage key project indicators and internal job costing related to project reporting and status updates.
  • Forecasting: Produce forecasts for total project costs and provide variance analysis.
  • Risk Management: Lead the risk management process, including identification, evaluation, and mitigation strategies.
  • Engineering Coordination: Coordinate engineering and construction activities in line with project schedules.
  • Contract Management: Ensure all contract deliverables and deadlines are met in collaboration with senior project management.
  • General Support: Provide senior-level project management support as needed, including financial analysis and client relationship management.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary by the Supervisor.
