We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Fundraising Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our humanitarian services team, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and implementing fundraising events to promote community awareness and support Red Cross services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute fundraising events to drive program growth and community engagement
  • Research and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors to secure monetary and in-kind gifts
  • Provide leadership and guidance to event chairs and volunteer committees to ensure successful event execution
  • Develop and monitor event project plans, budgets, and outcomes to drive program growth and impact
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to create event-related materials and promote events to the public
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in event planning or a combination of education and experience
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure with effective problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project management, vendor management, and fundraising budgeting
  • Familiarity with diverse community groups and effective networking skills
