We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Fundraising Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our humanitarian services team, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and implementing fundraising events to promote community awareness and support Red Cross services.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute fundraising events to drive program growth and community engagement
- Research and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors to secure monetary and in-kind gifts
- Provide leadership and guidance to event chairs and volunteer committees to ensure successful event execution
- Develop and monitor event project plans, budgets, and outcomes to drive program growth and impact
- Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to create event-related materials and promote events to the public
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience in event planning or a combination of education and experience
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure with effective problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Experience in project management, vendor management, and fundraising budgeting
- Familiarity with diverse community groups and effective networking skills
