  • Create engineering design specifications, calculations, and drawings for offshore brownfield asset retirement tasks, including platform decommissioning, structural alterations, and foundation design.
  • Perform thorough site evaluations and surveys to assess existing conditions and identify structural integrity concerns, corrosion issues, and deterioration that require remediation.
  • Offer technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, ensuring the precision and quality of civil and structural engineering outputs.
  • Work in conjunction with project managers and other stakeholders to formulate project scopes, timelines, and budgets, ensuring the timely delivery of engineering outputs.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and third-party contractors to address technical questions, resolve engineering challenges, and facilitate project approvals.
  • Conduct advanced structural assessments, including finite element analysis (FEA) and seismic evaluations, to evaluate the performance and stability of offshore structures under varying load conditions.
  • Review and assess vendor proposals and technical documentation related to civil and structural components, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Participate in project meetings, design evaluations, and safety assessments to ensure effective communication and coordination among project teams.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility, ensuring that all civil and structural engineering activities comply with company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering roles, particularly in offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in civil and structural design, analysis, and optimization of offshore facilities, including platforms, pipelines, and subsea structures.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software tools, such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and RISA, for structural modeling and analysis.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a proven track record of effectively leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards governing offshore decommissioning activities, including API, AISC, and ASCE requirements.
