Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team at Insight Global. This full-time role will involve collaborating closely with a group of 8-10 engineers to manage the design of substation sites and foundation constructions for a prominent utility client.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Utilize Civil 3D for design tasks and LPILE for foundation analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive site designs, including stormwater management, grading, and drainage plans.
  • Create detailed plans and specifications for civil projects, overseeing the bidding and construction management processes.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to produce efficient and reliable preliminary drawings and designs for high voltage substation facilities, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A PE license.
  • Previous experience in utilities or engineering procurement construction.
  • Expertise in analyzing and designing concrete foundations, anchorage systems, and reviewing structural steel connections.
  • A minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience focused on structural and drainage systems.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
