About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team at Best Friends Pet Hospital. As a key member of our client service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Face-to-face communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and their pets receive the best possible care.
  • Phone and email communication with clients to provide updates and answer questions.
  • Greeting clients at the front desk and checking patients in and out.
  • Fostering and coordinating communication between the medical team, client service team, and clients.
  • Scheduling appointments and procedures in-person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Navigating large volumes of phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions simultaneously.
  • Maintaining a clean and welcoming lobby appearance.
  • Processing cash, credit, and check transactions.
  • Finalizing the end-of-day cash drawer.
  • Creating accurate and efficient medical record entries.
  • Emailing medical records.
  • Utilizing USDA government resources to prepare and submit travel documents for patients.
  • Filling and double-checking prescription drugs and supplements.
  • Triaging phone calls and emails for emergencies and non-urgent cases.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, sometimes for sensitive or emotional subjects.
  • Scheduling deliveries and preparing retail items and prescriptions for delivery.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic phone skills.
  • Superb interpersonal conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 20lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods.
