Job Description

As a Director of Strategic Accounts at Tanium, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and delivering technology solutions tailored to customer needs. Your primary focus will be on generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within assigned territories and/or accounts.

You will be expected to articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision makers and expertly manage the complex sales cycle. This includes nurturing and developing relationships within the assigned territory and/or accounts, presenting to the C-suite the value of the Tanium platform, and working with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Articulating the value of the Tanium platform to decision makers
  • Managing the complex sales cycle
  • Nurturing and developing relationships within assigned territories and/or accounts
  • Presenting to the C-suite the value of the Tanium platform
  • Working with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts
  • Generating appropriate sales development activity to ensure healthy pipeline management
  • Accurately forecasting and maintaining excellent SFDC hygiene
  • Conducting online webinars or in-person presentations to generate qualified leads
  • Traveling as needed

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales professional with a proven track record of success at the Higher Education/Local Government level in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have significant enterprise software sales experience, generating and closing large and complex software transactions with the biggest customers in the region.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proven success at the Higher Education/Local Government level in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
  • Significant enterprise software sales experience
  • A strong team mentality and ability to manage and use virtual resources to tackle large and complex sales cycles
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota
  • Experience calling on and presenting to C-Suite level contacts
  • Background leveraging an existing network of partners, distributors, and VARs to enable rapid growth and exceed sales objectives
  • The ability to evangelize and build new business opportunities within assigned territories and/or accounts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Tanium offers a competitive annual base salary range of $80,000 to $240,000, commission eligibility, and a generous benefits package consisting of medical, dental, and vision plan, family planning benefits, health savings account, flexible spending account, transportation savings account, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, life, accident, and disability coverage, business travel accident insurance, employee assistance programs, disability insurance, and other well-being benefits.
