Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist to oversee the administration of a portfolio of loans secured by automobiles or other collateral. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate account information, handle customer inquiries, monitor payments, and take appropriate actions when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Administer a portfolio of loans secured by automobiles or other collateral.
  • Ensure accurate account information is entered in internal systems.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to these accounts.
  • Monitor payments and take appropriate actions when necessary.
  • Assist the Manager with updates to process documentation.
  • Prepare and file proofs of claim and transfers of claim in bankruptcy cases.
  • Enter payment and contract information correctly in ILS for each account.
  • Process correspondence and documents concerning account information, bankruptcy updates, and collateral.
  • Handle inbound and outbound phone calls with attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, and consumers.
  • Access chapter 13 trustee websites to confirm payments and trustee claim information.
  • Monitor accounts for payments in accordance with bankruptcy plans.
  • Research accounts using Phin Solutions, PACER, trustee sites, and internal systems.
  • Ensure proper treatment of company-owned accounts in bankruptcy cases.
  • Perform discharge reviews to determine lien release requirements and accounting adjustments.
  • Analyze non-bankruptcy accounts for collateral repossession.
  • Monitor and manage the repossession process.
  • Move for relief from the automatic stay when necessary.
  • Process and file Reaffirmation Agreements.
  • Process plan objections if our treatment in the bankruptcy plan is not adequate.
  • Follow up on accounts regularly to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Notate all actions taken on each account in internal systems.
  • Assist on special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bankruptcy and/or collection experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Good computer and internet skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • College degree preferred but not required.
