SUMMARY:
A Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager provides credit administration and underwriting support while serving as the secondary contact on all managed relationships. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for a wide range of duties including, but not limited to the following:
- Key Responsibilities:
- Work with corporate banking Relationship Managers to manage all aspects of the loan portfolio including annual reviews, past dues, borrowing base monitoring, covenant compliance, CARs, collateral exceptions, and other portfolio management activities.
- Actively participate and assist in all aspects of the loan process including joint calling, underwriting and preparation of credit approval packages.
- Serve as secondary contact on client relationships.
- Review loan documents.
- Must be able to spread, analyze, and interpret businesses and financial statements.
- Must be able to identify strengths and weaknesses of individual requests and make recommendations to address and mitigate perceived risks.
- Must prepare and be able to present credit analysis packages through the credit approval chain with limited supervision.
- Will make calls on companies, sponsors and investment bankers with senior bankers.
- Serves as the initial deal screen to determine loan viability.
- Communicate with corporate borrowers to obtain pertinent information for rendering recommendations.
- Address compliance issues with management and customers; evaluate and recommend changes to covenants, pricing, credit agreement terms, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have direct reports.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Location in UCB Footprint.
POSITION TYPE:
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
TRAVEL:
This position requires less than 5% travel.
