Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant Team Lead plays a crucial role in the care team, overseeing clinic sessions, assisting medical providers, and supporting the training of Medical Assistants. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume oversight for clinic sessions and assist medical providers as needed
  • Support the training of Medical Assistants and serve as a peer trainer
  • Coordinate clinic flow, maximize resource use, and direct the flow of the clinic
  • Use a variety of methods to improve access and help clinicians meet visit volume targets
  • Support the training of new Medical Assistants and conduct competency check-offs
  • Informally mentor Medical Assistants to help them succeed in their roles
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program
  • Participation in Fred Pryor training as assigned or recommended
  • A minimum of 12 months prior medical assisting experience at SRCH
  • Fluent in English and one other needed patient access language
  • Excellent performance in the MA I or MA II position
  • Demonstrated peer leadership skills
  • Excellent knowledge of eCW and the MA workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assignments
  • Thorough, detail-oriented, and able to identify opportunities to improve systems and workflow
