Mechanical Engineer II

At Blue Origin, we are pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and operation of our spacecraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for our spacecraft, including fluid systems, structural components, and thermal management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with other spacecraft systems, such as propulsion, power, and communication systems.
- Develop and implement design solutions to meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Conduct analysis and testing to validate design solutions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on spacecraft systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, analysis, and testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with 3D CAD design tools, such as Creo or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of FEA analysis tools, such as ANSYS.
- Experience with fluid systems design and analysis.
