Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our space systems development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for our reusable space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for our space vehicles, including fluid systems, structural components, and thermal management systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with other vehicle systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Conduct testing and validation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements.
  • Work with the design team to develop and implement design improvements and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on aerospace or space systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
  • Experience with CAD design tools, such as Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
