Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional evaluations for each patient upon their entry into the program.
  • Provide individualized nutrition counseling and facilitate group discussions on nutrition principles.
  • Develop tailored meal plans that address the unique medical, nutritional, cultural, and ethical needs of each patient.
  • Offer weekly one-on-one nutritional counseling sessions for patients and their families as required.
  • Lead nutrition education groups suitable for both adult and adolescent patients.
  • Present weekly updates on each patient's nutritional progress during team meetings.
  • Ensure timely completion of all necessary documentation and reports in accordance with established policies.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of patient meal cycles.
  • Oversee inventory management and coordinate food ordering and restocking.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient health information in compliance with relevant laws.
  • Engage in training sessions and presentations as part of professional development.
  • Utilize feedback from supervisors to enhance job performance.
  • Monitor meal consumption and model appropriate eating behaviors for patients with eating disorders.
  • Communicate with external dietitians regarding patient admissions, treatment progress, and discharges.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Registered Dietitian with current registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and ongoing education credits is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in nutrition counseling is preferred.
  • Experience working with patients with eating disorders is advantageous.

  • Knowledgeable in assessing eating disorders.
  • Proficient in nutrition counseling techniques.
  • Adept at developing and implementing nutritional treatment plans.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal standards.
  • Calm and effective in emergency situations.
  • Demonstrates tact, resourcefulness, and patience.
  • Works well within a clinical team environment.
  • Adheres to and enforces organizational policies and procedures.
  • Adapts well to diverse client populations.
  • Knowledge of kitchen management practices.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Communicates nutrition-related information kindly and professionally to clients.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
