Position Overview:

Registered Dietitian Compensation: $36.96 / hour (Potential for Increased Earnings with Experience)

Pediatric Specialty Care is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Registered Dietitian for a part-time role.

The Registered Dietitian will deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy through thorough and routine nutritional evaluations, conducting Nutrition Focused Physical Exams while adhering to the Nutrition Care process in compliance with the standards established by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. This professional will follow state regulations, safety protocols, and guidelines to enhance the overall health and wellness of our residents through tailored nutrition interventions, meal planning, and clinical directives.

Registered Dietitian Work Schedule:

  • Available for a 9:00 am - 5:00 pm shift, with flexibility in scheduling.

Registered Dietitian Employment Status:

  • Part-time: Three 7.5-hour shifts weekly, with flexibility in scheduled days, eligible for benefits.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian:

  • Conduct nutritional assessments for pediatric patients (up to age 21) in a pediatric care environment, adhering to company policies and care standards.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and document individualized nutrition care plans based on current best practices.
  • Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents and their families.
  • Maintain resident nutrition records in the electronic system.
  • Perform routine audits and monitor performance improvement initiatives related to nutrition and food services.
  • Participate actively in resident care plan meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and required training programs.
  • Stay informed about federal and state regulations regarding nutritional services in pediatric settings.
  • Serve as a nutrition consultant for the administrative team and multidisciplinary medical staff.
  • Mentor dietetic students and interns, and supervise dining service aides.
  • Conduct in-service training for dietary and facility staff as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Dining Services with departmental oversight when required.
  • Utilize electronic timekeeping systems as directed.
  • Arrive on time and adhere to the facility's dress code.
  • Follow policies regarding electronic devices and maintain confidentiality.
  • Support and adhere to Pediatric Specialty Care's mission, vision, and values.
  • Comply with the company's code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications for the Registered Dietitian:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics.
  • Completion of an internship or equivalent clinical and management practice qualifying for Professional Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Current, valid driver's license for occasional travel.
  • Preferred active membership in The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Certification as a Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) with state licensure.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred.
  • Serv Safe certification or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and nutritional software.
