Key Responsibilities

Role Scope:

  • Deliver on-site support and engage with students and guests who have specific dietary requirements.
  • Craft recipes that adhere to established nutritional standards and ingredient specifications.
  • Provide detailed notes and descriptions to accompany culinary recipes.
  • Evaluate menus and meal plans to ensure compliance with nutritional guidelines.
  • Conduct content reviews of recipes, nutritional analyses, and related documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials for the food service industry, including websites and brochures.
  • Facilitate culinary and nutrition education sessions.
  • Present nutrition-related information to both professional and consumer audiences, emphasizing health and wellness.

Nutrition Counseling:

  • Offer individualized nutrition counseling and consultations for clients with specific dietary needs, empowering them to take charge of their health and dietary choices.
  • Provide nutrition education and support to both individuals and groups.
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure that dietary needs are met, arranging for specialized meals or sourcing alternative food options as necessary.
  • Coordinate with student services and health departments to manage dietary accommodations and meal plan exemptions.
  • Conduct personalized tours for students and families to highlight dining options that cater to specific dietary restrictions.
  • Adhere to privacy regulations throughout the nutrition counseling process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, culinary arts, clinical nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian with current certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in nutrition counseling, food service, or a related field is preferred.
