Job Summary

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is seeking a Quality Inspector to assist in the calibration of gages and equipment, inspect in-process, incoming, & out-going materials, and execute departmental work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the calibration of gages and equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Inspect in-process, incoming, and out-going materials to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Execute departmental work, including training new inspectors and handling routine clerical duties and required documentation.
  • Inspect and test electrical products and components to engineering drawings and specifications using inspection procedures and sampling plans as specified.
  • Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Record inspection data for historical records, as needed.
  • Accurately fill out all necessary paperwork, including serial number logs and special products data sheets.
  • Familiar with COC sheets with shipments and perform internal audits as needed.
  • Assist in ensuring that gages are calibrated within the required frequency.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and help schedule work through Quality Inspection areas.
  • Help with training of Quality employees and others, as needed.
Qualifications
  • BASIC (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Experience working with ISO procedures, work instructions, and document control (especially engineering drawings).
    • Experience with computer software to enter receipts, first article inspection, and NCMA's.
    • High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing experience.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Accurate interpretation of blueprint information for inspection purposes.
    • Strong computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, SAP, and Calibration Database).
Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, and government specifications.
  • Excellent math skills, conversions from English to metric and decimals to fractions on part specifications.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles.
  • Ability to use statistical sampling plans as required by MIL-STD(s), etc.
