Job Summary

PrideStaff is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, legality, and quality of food products manufactured on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, write, and maintain plant SOP programs to ensure compliance with food and supplement regulations.
  • Responsible for sampling, testing, and documentation of procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Work to maintain the safety, legality, and quality of each food product and the processes used in their manufacture.
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements, reducing customer/consumer complaints for supplements manufactured on site.
  • Report safety and quality issues to plant leadership and participate in daily food evaluation to identify possible defects.
  • Participate in physical bakery inspections on a weekly basis to ensure compliance with pest control, operational methods, maintenance, and sanitation practices.
  • Select food items for analysis at specific stages in the production process to evaluate compliance to specification.
  • Use various instrumentation/measuring devices, including thermometers, metal detectors, X-ray devices, and moisture analyzers.
  • Assure materials are received from approved suppliers and conduct raw material supplier performance monitoring.
  • Participate in Environmental Monitoring Programs, including collecting swab samples and using the ATP system.
  • Print finished supplement case labels and ensure appropriate communication of food safety/QA issues with Production.
