Position Summary

The Financial Accountant I at JUNK Brands plays a vital role in supporting the finance department by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial documentation. This position, while not supervisory, is essential for providing financial insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and maintain accounting records, including financial statements and various reports, ensuring timely publication on a monthly basis.
  • Establish and manage accounts, accurately inputting entries into the appropriate ledgers.
  • Oversee and process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Facilitate vendor payments and manage customer receipts.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and summarize financial account information.
  • Provide financial reports to senior leadership, including the President and Head of Finance.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation and maintenance of financial records, leveraging modern technology.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial information.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities to uphold sound accounting practices.
  • Continuously monitor and adapt to new accounting standards to ensure compliance.
