As a key member of the HR department, you will provide administrative support to the HR Manager and designated personnel, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and designated personnel, including benefits enrollment, open enrollment, and insurance issues.
- Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Answer department telephones and respond to employee and applicant inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process new hires and terminations, including verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining personnel files.
- Assist in the coordination of job fairs and other recruitment activities, and assist Department Management and Directors in setting up interviews for available positions.
- Prepare and maintain employee files, and perform file audits to ensure all required documentation is collected and maintained.
- Complete employment verifications for previous and current employees, and attend HR functions and trainings as needed.
- Some college coursework in Business Administration, Business Law, or Human Resources preferred.
- 2 years previous Administrative Assistant experience preferred, with previous experience working in a Human Resource Department required.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
- Be proficient in operating standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and have knowledge of ADP and/or Workday HRIS systems.
