Job Description

Gene by Gene LTD is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to employees and assisting the People & Culture Manager with recruiting candidates to fill open roles. You will also be responsible for enforcing company policies and practices, administering time and attendance, and coordinating benefits and leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the employee onboarding process, including initiating job offers, offer letters, background checks, and onboarding packets.
  • Complete I-9 Forms, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files, and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Set up key security card access, distribute picture cards, and maintain records of key security cards.
  • Manage employee records and files, ensuring that files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external support by providing timely, accurate information in response to HR-related inquiries and/or requests.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with team leads and managers to create job descriptions and run talent acquisition.
  • Update and maintain employee data within the Human Resource Information System (Paylocity).
  • Assist in benefit administration; distribute benefit information; assist employees with basic benefit-related questions.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, or researching and fixing processing errors.
  • Oversee the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Collaborate with P&C Manager in planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, team meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday party.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employment information and comply with all mandated privacy requirements.
  • Organize travel accommodations for out-of-town employees, as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • At least 2-3 years of HR experience
