Role Overview

As a Patient Care Technician at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients with renal failure.

The PCT will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to ensure high-quality dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather patient stats before and after treatment
  • Initiate treatment, monitor patients during treatment, and terminate treatment
  • Collect patient blood samples per physician orders
  • Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, clean and disinfect machines after treatment, and conduct machine safety checks and logging results for quality control

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients
  • Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus

Training and Certification

Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency, and patient care technician certification obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
