Position Overview:
As a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer at General Dynamics, you will play a pivotal role in leading operational initiatives and overseeing the implementation of solutions that enhance service delivery and align with the technical roadmap of N&NC. This program directly supports the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM).

NORAD is a collaborative organization between the United States and Canada, tasked with aerospace warning, control, and maritime security for North America. The NITES program provides comprehensive enterprise IT services and management, implementing key Department of Defense initiatives, including zero trust principles.

Impact of the Role:
  • Conduct systems engineering for enterprise cybersecurity solutions, aiding in the selection, design, implementation, testing, and operational oversight of security measures across the network.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, service leads, engineers, and stakeholders to uphold the highest security standards while minimizing mission disruption.
  • Evaluate security architecture and system vulnerabilities in partnership with system owners and administrators through scans, configuration reviews, and interviews.
  • Utilize technology to generate maintenance tasks and workflows that support compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain and document security diagrams, plans, procedures, policies, logs, audits, and reports.
  • Work alongside N&NC to conduct audits, reviews, evaluations, tests, and assessments of contractor systems and processes.
  • Provide Information Assurance and compliance support to uphold the security posture of production systems, encompassing engineering, implementation, operation, and monitoring.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
  • Required Experience: 10+ years in a related role.
Technical Skills and Certifications:
  • Must possess appropriate certifications as per DoD standards.
  • Hold a DoD approved baseline certification or higher.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Computing Environment (CE) certification relevant to the primary tools used, such as CCNP or ArcSight.
Security Clearance:
DoD Top Secret SCI Clearance Required

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on experience and location.
