Mission:

We are seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to enhance our Force Tracking - Mission Management Center (FT-MMC). The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing innovative solutions to ensure secure and reliable operations across diverse architectures and government systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of cybersecurity programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Evaluate information systems and weapon systems to identify vulnerabilities and conduct thorough risk assessments.
  • Perform security inspections, assessments, tests, and reviews of information systems and networks to confirm compliance with existing policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the continuous review of documentation packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, meeting minimal risk acceptance standards.
  • Support projects to implement cybersecurity controls and respond to security incidents while coordinating with external assessment agencies.
  • Ensure secure configurations of information systems, network equipment, and applications.
  • Lead or participate in Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization efforts.
  • Provide insights on emerging cybersecurity technologies and doctrine issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with eligibility for SCI clearance upon hire.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience, with at least three (3) years in configuring cybersecurity controls and conducting audit log reviews.
  • Understanding of DoD requirements under the Risk Management Framework.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in creating technical documentation and reports.
  • Completion of DISA Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) Administrator training.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity doctrine and best practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience; a PhD may substitute for an additional two (2) years.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering/scientific field.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with dynamic tasking.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and traffic flow.
  • Experience in MS Windows, RHEL, and VMWare environments.
  • Experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator, ACAS, and DISA STIG.
  • Certifications such as C|EH, CySA, MCSA, CCNA, or COMPTIA Network+ are preferred.
