Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of Senior Cyber Engineer Lead. This role involves overseeing system management support with a primary focus on the design, specification, integration, and implementation of extensive management architectures that operate on complex distributed networks. The successful candidate will work with multiple classification enclaves and integrate with Department of Defense Command and Control systems, utilizing established information assurance processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and leadership in cybersecurity engineering.
- Manage and support the implementation and configuration of various technologies, including:
- Network devices such as switches and routers
- Server operating systems
- Virtualization infrastructures like VMware and Nutanix
- VoIP telephony systems
- Network and server management suites, including SolarWinds
- Security solutions including Palo Alto firewalls and IPS/IDS
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and technical implementation guides.
- Oversee disaster recovery processes and data protection strategies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- A minimum of 3 years in a senior cyber engineering role supporting a DOD program.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering.
- Proficiency in enterprise systems management and performance management.
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
Education and Certifications
- Active ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
- Possession of IAT/IAM Level II or higher certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field.
