Job Overview

Position Summary

The Credentialing Coordinator plays a crucial role in verifying that all personnel and transportation service providers possess the required qualifications and credentials to deliver safe and dependable services to patients. This position operates under the guidance of the Credentialing Manager and is essential in managing the credentialing process, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards, and upholding the organization's dedication to patient safety and quality care.

Working Environment

This role is typically performed in an indoor office setting that is climate-controlled, featuring regulated lighting and noise levels. The position may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting items weighing at least 25 lbs. Proficiency in using a computer and other office equipment is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Examine credentialing documentation and collaborate with transportation providers to gather any missing, incomplete, or expiring information.
  2. Validate provider credentials to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maintain accurate records in the credentialing database.
  3. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with Call the Car personnel, transportation providers, and other relevant parties.
  4. Ensure precise and timely data entry.
  5. Maintain regular communication with transportation providers to clarify expectations and ensure timely completion of requirements.
  6. Provide observations and suggestions for process enhancements to management.
  7. Facilitate clear communication among Providers, Drivers, and CTC Management.
  8. Achieve and maintain 100% accuracy in all aspects of the role.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service is preferred.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook) and basic computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is required.
  • Must successfully pass a Criminal Background Screening.
  • Must meet government exclusion list requirements at the time of hire and on a monthly basis thereafter.
