Assistant Manager Job Description

At Scotchman, we're seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in steering all store operations, ensuring our convenience store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Store Operations: Collaborate with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and enthusiastic store crew, fostering a motivated work environment.
  • Financial Management: Manage key financial aspects, including payroll, inventory, and sales, to ensure the store's success.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for all customers.
Requirements:
  • Age: 18 years or older (21 years or older for certain states)
  • Transportation: Access to a car or other motorized vehicle, with liability insurance
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts and days, adapting to our dynamic environment
  • Communication: Fluent in English, with basic math skills
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
