Job Summary

As an Hourly Supervisor at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., you will be responsible for leading a team of associates in a specific area of the store. Your primary goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a well-organized and stocked area, providing excellent customer service, and working collaboratively with your team to achieve sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and effective way.
  • Area Maintenance: Ensure that your area of the store is well-organized, clean, and stocked with merchandise, maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store appearance.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of associates, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and develop their skills.
  • Inventory Management: Use basic math skills to maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly received, stored, and rotated.
  • Event Planning: Prepare and plan for upcoming events that will impact your area, such as sales promotions, product launches, and in-store demonstrations.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team of associates, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions, working collaboratively with your team to resolve issues.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills to maintain accurate inventory levels and perform other tasks as needed.
