Audio FX Technician Job Description

Xl Event Lab is seeking an experienced Audio FX Technician to join our team for a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will work on a fly-in/fly-out basis, traveling to our event sites each weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with loading and unloading of event hardware
  • Inspect and identify equipment in need of repair or maintenance
  • Perform equipment maintenance, including speaker repair and quality control analysis
  • Set up audio and basic FX equipment
  • Operate and troubleshoot sound, light, and FX

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior management
  • Knowledge of A/V and basic FX/lighting equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot A/V and lighting equipment independently
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working in similar environments with audio/visual equipment

What We Offer:

  • $500 day rate
  • Minimum 2 days, maximum 4 days per week (paid as contractor/1099)
