AV Technician

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience in Audio Visual Field
  • Experience in live events is recommended
  • Experience in high priority and VIP meetings
  • Ability to work independently with no supervision as this is off main campus
  • Technical knowledge of AV and IT
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven Problem Solving Skills within the AV World
  • Flexible, Adaptable, and able to work with changing conditions if there is a technology failure


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical AV knowledge within BITS and the Broad community
  • Responsible for the upkeep and life cycle maintenance of AV systems
  • White glove assistance with VIPs. Strong communication, coordination, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to learn and set up new hardware and software when Broad changes AV technology
  • Tracking of team tickets, ensuring proper notes, completion, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
  • Provide technical assistance in troubleshooting of all on-campus AV equipment
  • Answering end user questions involving all things AV
  • Responsible for maintaining and creating AV documentation for future reference
  • Work with vendors when basic troubleshooting does not resolve issues for assistance and to RMA non-functioning devices.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working on/managing audio visual projects
  • Knowledge of Digital Signage solutions
  • Networking/IP knowledge
  • Competency with but not limited to;
  • Crestron systems and XiO Cloud, Extron, Shure, Biamp, Zoom/Zoom Rooms, NEAT, QSC, and Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices
  • CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I is a plus but not required


Working Conditions

  • Normal office conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb’s
  • This is considered a full time, on-site position
  • Working hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon-Fri
