About the Role

The Director of Banquets will be responsible for leading our banquet team, ensuring seamless execution of events, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire their team, while also driving business results and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors, and assistant managers in the Hotel's Banquet Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain effective lines of communication with all employees, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned with the team's goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate set-up requirements for hotel and off-site functions according to the banquet event orders and review any necessary changes with Catering Managers prior to the event taking place.
  • Monitor trends in catering/banquets and produce comparison shops, working closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Director of Catering to design an effective menu and wine list.
  • Understand and drive labor standards in partnership with Finance, controlling labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  • Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the banquet area and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Requirements
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
  • Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.
  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience by position is from three to five years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
