About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Banquet Operations to join our team at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you'll be responsible for leading the Banquet Department and ensuring that every event exceeds our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Banquet Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain effective lines of communication with all employees, ensuring that everyone is informed and engaged.
  • Coordinate set-up requirements for hotel and off-site functions, working closely with Catering Managers and other departments to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor trends in catering and banquets, producing comparison shops and working with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to design effective menus and wine lists.
  • Understand and drive labor standards in partnership with Finance, controlling labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, and purchasing decisions.
  • Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the banquet area, making recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Requirements
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
  • Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.
  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience by position is from three to five years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
