Job Title: Associate Director of Annual Giving

Division: Annual Giving

FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt

Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Annual Giving is a critical contributing team member of the Annual Giving program at the University of Hawaii Foundation. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Call Center, working with the Director of Annual Giving to implement a comprehensive annual giving program, and supervising a team of student callers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Annual Giving program, focusing on revenue goals and maximizing gift income.
  • Supervise, motivate, and regularly evaluate call center staff to ensure a positive, productive, and professional atmosphere.
  • Oversee nightly team meetings to review goals and evaluate progress, and define and identify prospect constituencies to design and test market-specific solicitation strategies.
  • Manage the Annual Giving call center, ensuring effective and efficient administration to maximize gift income, and responsible for all aspects of recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of student workers.
  • Provide detailed pre- and post-campaign analysis and technical support, evaluating and sorting data prior to the start of the campaign and sharing post-campaign reports with the Associate Director of Annual Giving.

Requirements:

  • Experience with recruiting, training, managing, and motivating a large staff.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under deadline pressures.
  • Excellent communication skills, marketing experience, and skills are a requirement.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a call center or telemarketing setting.
  • College degree required.

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Evaluation: The Associate Director of Annual Giving will meet annually with their supervisor to put a strategic plan in place for the year, and at the end of each year, the Associate Director of Annual Giving and their supervisor will review progress toward the annual goals.

Working Conditions: Based at the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus, the Associate Director of Annual Giving will work primarily in an office environment and will need to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer, attending meetings, or performing desk work for extended periods.
