Job Overview

Scientia Vascular Inc. is seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to support our Automation Engineering and Operations teams. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment failures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble subassemblies, prototype, and production equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity.
  • Machine or modify parts as required.
  • Read drawings and schematics of intermediate complexity.
  • Assemble circuit boards of intermediate complexity.
  • Wire equipment of intermediate complexity.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity.
  • Teach assembly and preventative maintenance to other technicians as directed by Automation Engineering.
  • Respond to intermediate equipment failures by troubleshooting and resolving the issue or escalating it to Automation Engineering.
  • Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years assembly or equipment experience, medical device preferred.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer use, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Office 365.
  • Mechanical aptitude/trouble shooting abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources.
  • Ability to easily adapt to new tasks.
  • Able to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read and understand simple mechanical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills.
