About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise and support to our customers and internal stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the sale, installation, and service/troubleshooting of Trane Building Automation Systems and HVAC Equipment Controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone, email, and on-site product and technical support to Trane's technicians and account managers.
  • Assist with product development through use case analysis and ad hoc testing efforts.
  • Develop information for the product knowledge database, to be used by other support and field personnel.
  • Author Product Defects and work with internal stakeholders to prioritize fixes.
  • Support callers with technical problem solving of building automation systems and HVAC controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, or closely-related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of directly applicable HVAC/automation experience.
  • 5+ years working with or troubleshooting building automation protocols is required (BACnet, Lon, Modbus).
  • Experience with YABE, Wireshark, and other comm troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with IP Networking preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
