Automation Support Specialist

As an Automation Support Specialist at MiTek USA, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by providing product and service information, troubleshooting and supporting MiTek Automation equipment, and assisting with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancellations, and other queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective support to customers via phone, email, or in-person, resolving issues related to MiTek Automation equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions using Salesforce.
- Follow up with customers within 3 business days to ensure issues are resolved and provide additional support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and shipping, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Document and communicate customer feedback, including complaints, to management for process improvements.
- Quote parts accurately using computer systems or special promotions as applicable.
- Recommend potential products or services to management by analyzing customer needs and providing solutions.
- Comply with established procedures for sales order entry, returned materials authorizations (RMAs), parts quotes, and phone call tracking.
- Initiate callbacks to and follow up with customers in the event of backorders and other unexpected changes or delays.
- Process orders, make changes, track, or cancel orders by following order entry procedures.
- Provide basic part number identification for supported machinery using drawings, parts guides, or equipment manuals.
- Contribute to and collaborate with other support technicians to ensure seamless support and knowledge sharing.
- Associate's degree in Automation Technology or related field required.
- Up to 1 year of experience in Automation, Electrical, or Component manufacturing industry required.
- Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
- Ability to read and understand prints and schematics.
- Ability to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments.
- Able to use Microsoft Office Applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Customer service skills.
- Multi-tasking skills.
- 20% travel required for training and occasional meetings.
- This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone, and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
- This role may need to access areas within the building that are undergoing renovations, which may contain job site hazards.
- Occasionally, this role will require pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, and moving up to 25 pounds.
