Position: Manual Medical Device Tester

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Manual Medical Device Tester. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing software tests in accordance with corporate policies and operational procedures for both new and ongoing engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive software tests to ensure product quality.
  • Analyze test results, defects, and change requests to assess software impacts.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and management on specific tasks.
  • Engage in test reviews to clarify requirements and refine testing strategies.
  • Utilize test design principles to verify software compliance and identify operational anomalies.
  • Assist in exploring new testing technologies and tools.
  • Conduct module-level and functional testing of software applications.
  • Document defects meticulously, including reproduction steps and debugging information.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation within projects.
  • Validate software testing tools in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Gather data to produce metrics that evaluate testing progress and software quality.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using relevant scripting languages and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in testing embedded software applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering. Equivalent degrees with relevant software education and experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in testing embedded software applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within project teams under guidance.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret requirements and test outcomes accurately.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with defect management and test management tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of developing software solutions or test scripts using Python is a plus.
  • Competence in scripting languages such as Python and Perl is desirable.
  • Experience in C/C++ object-oriented programming and multi-threaded applications is beneficial.
