We are seeking a dedicated Manual Medical Device Tester to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and executing software tests in accordance with established corporate policies and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive software testing strategies for both new and existing engineering projects.
- Analyze test results, defects, and change requests to evaluate software impacts.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance understanding of requirements and refine testing methodologies.
- Utilize test design principles to ensure software meets specified requirements and identify any operational anomalies.
- Assist in the exploration of innovative testing technologies and tools.
- Conduct module-level and functional testing of software applications.
- Document defects meticulously, including reproduction steps and debugging information.
- Identify potential areas for test automation within projects.
- Validate software testing tools in compliance with corporate standards.
- Gather data to produce metrics that assess testing progress and overall software quality.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate scripting languages and tools.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in testing embedded software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering; other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant software education and experience.
- Proven experience in testing embedded software applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within project teams under guidance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret requirements and test results effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with defect management and test management tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of developing software solutions or test scripts using Python is a plus.
- Competence in scripting languages such as Python and Perl is desirable.
- Experience in C/C++ object-oriented analysis and programming, as well as multi-threaded/multi-tasking programming, is beneficial.
