- Engage in test reviews to gain insights into requirements and refine testing methodologies.
- Utilize test design principles and technologies to confirm software compliance with requirements and identify operational anomalies.
- Assist senior engineers in exploring new testing technologies and tools.
- Conduct module-level and functional testing of software applications.
- Document defects meticulously, including reproduction steps and debugging information.
- Identify potential areas for test automation within projects.
- Validate software testing tools in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Gather data to create metrics that evaluate testing progress and software quality.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using suitable scripting languages and tools to meet project requirements.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in testing embedded software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering. Other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant software education and experience.
- Proven experience in testing embedded software applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within project teams under guidance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret requirements and test results accurately.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with defect management and test management tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of developing software solutions or test scripts using Python is a plus.
- Competence in scripting languages such as Python and Perl is desirable.
- Practical experience in C/C++ object-oriented analysis and programming, as well as multi-threaded/multi-tasking programming, is preferred.
