Job Overview

The role of the IT Systems Administrator at Carolina IT LLC involves the crucial responsibility of overseeing and enhancing our clients' technological frameworks. This position is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of software, hardware, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, upgrade, and manage various software, hardware, and network components, ensuring the integrity of the operating system environment and computer systems.
  • Design, configure, script, test, debug, and document system processes and protocols.
  • Install and configure new servers and network systems.
  • Conduct systems maintenance tasks, including system backups, recovery, firmware updates, security patching, and file maintenance.
  • Address customer-reported issues, system performance anomalies, and general inquiries, including troubleshooting application code and designing software patches.
  • Possess experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Security/EDR and Antivirus platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and restore RAID configurations and hard disk drive failures.
  • Manage user account information, including adding, removing, or updating accounts and resetting passwords.
  • Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements.
  • Prepare activity and status reports regarding assigned tasks and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required, along with professional certification such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).

Required Skills
  • 5 years of experience in SharePoint Administration and Architecture.
  • 5 years of experience in Active Directory management.
  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Server).
  • 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • 5 years of experience with PowerShell, workflow, InfoPath, and SharePoint Designer.
  • 3 years of experience in Azure administration.
  • 5 years of experience in O365 administration.
  • 3 years of experience with Hyper-V and VMware administration.
  • 5 years of experience managing Antivirus platforms and EDR.
  • Extensive experience in analysis for problem determination.
  • Experience with SharePoint version migrations (e.g., > 2016 and 2016 to 2019).
  • Experience with Windows Server migrations (e.g., 2012 to 2016 to 2019).
