As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our funeral home, cemetery, crematory, or a combination of these facilities. You will assist with special projects, research, and resolving problems. You will schedule meetings, draft memos, transcribe notes, create presentations, generate reports, and prepare and monitor invoices and expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings and appointments
  • Make travel arrangements and plan events
  • Complete management expense reports and respond to inquiries in writing and verbally
  • Pull monthly reports and enter contract details into our information system
  • Order and check memorial to ensure accuracy and process annual funeral home and cemetery license renewals
  • Code and scan invoices and process accounts payable and other accounting support transactions
  • Receive incoming telephone calls and assist callers with any questions or comments, direct calls to appropriate team members
  • Schedule call-in appointments for Sales and file and maintain customer information
  • Maintain office and facility supplies, including fax machines, copiers, and network printers
  • Prepare daily schedules and administer HR processes, including new hire paperwork, background checks, and bonus processing
  • Maintain processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including SOX administration and audit
  • Train others on policies, procedures, and new company initiatives
  • Maintain a friendly attitude and offer assistance and guidance to all persons entering the location

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment
  • Advanced computer, internet, and word processing skills
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, including calculators, copiers, printers, fax machines, and telephone console
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • High level of compassion and integrity
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision

Compensation:

Salary: $/Hr - $2/Hr
