Role Purpose: The primary role of a Member Service Advisor (Lender) is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in achieving our mission of positively impacting the lives of our members, team members, and the community through meaningful connections and innovative financial solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the core values and standards established for the position to ensure superior service delivery to our members.
  • Provide accurate and efficient service in various transactions, including account inquiries, check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and resolving eService issues both in-person and via phone.
  • Utilize the ITM for transactions such as check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Serve as a backup teller, ensuring daily balancing of cash drawers, TCR, and ITM.
  • Act as a backup vault teller when necessary, managing weekly cash orders and verifying cash from the Federal Reserve, while ensuring daily vault cash balances.
  • Responsible for opening new accounts, certificates, and IRAs.
  • Assist members with inquiries and requests related to their accounts.
  • Deliver efficient service when processing loan applications, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Utilize training resources to guide members in understanding credit insurance products.
  • Meet member needs by promoting all products and services offered by the credit union, including lending protection solutions, while achieving established sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred minimum of three years of experience in the financial services sector.
  • Preferred minimum of two years of experience in lending.
