Facilities Maintenance Manager

Role ResponsibilitiesThis position involves overseeing the activities of maintenance technicians responsible for the upkeep and repair of all production machinery, facility infrastructure, and the overall physical plant. Additionally, this role includes coordinating with external contractors engaged in maintenance and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facility needs with the available maintenance staff.
- Oversee preventive maintenance of machinery in collaboration with the building and grounds supervisor and manager.
- Collaborate with the training coordinator to ensure compliance with governmental and state regulations, including OSHA.
- Propose procedural and physical enhancements throughout the facility as needed.
- Establish conservation programs across the facility.
- Maintain historical records of repairs and associated costs.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to enhance plant efficiency.
- Assist the training coordinator in implementing training for all direct reports.
- Manage employee timecards.
- Facilitate the purchase of parts necessary for facility and machinery maintenance.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical skills.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics related to electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree is preferred.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of mechanical experience, ideally in injection molding.
- Ability to climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs is required.
