We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Novolex. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians to repair and maintain all production equipment, facility infrastructure, and physical plant.
- Preventive Maintenance: Work with the building and grounds supervisor and manager to coordinate preventive maintenance of machines.
- Compliance and Training: Work with the training coordinator to ensure compliance with governmental and state regulations, such as OSHA.
- Improvement Initiatives: Recommend procedural and physical improvements throughout the facility to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Conservation Programs: Establish programs to conserve resources and reduce waste throughout the facility.
- Historical Data: Maintain historical data on repairs and costs.
- Plant Efficiency: Work closely with the production manager to improve plant efficiency.
- Training and Development: Work with the training coordinator to implement training programs for direct reports.
- Employee Management: Maintain employee timecards and make part purchases to maintain facility and machines.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with bilingual abilities a plus.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate degree preferred.
- Experience: Five years of mechanical experience, preferably in injection molding.
- Physical Demands: Ability to climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
