Role Overview

The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of maintenance technicians in the upkeep and repair of all production machinery, facility infrastructure, and the overall physical plant.

This role also involves coordinating the efforts of external contractors engaged for repairs and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and the physical plant.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facility needs with the available maintenance team.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for machinery in collaboration with the building and grounds supervisor and manager.
  • Partner with the training coordinator to ensure compliance with governmental and state regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Recommend procedural and physical enhancements throughout the facility as necessary.
  • Establish and promote conservation programs within the facility.
  • Maintain historical records of repairs and associated costs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Manager to enhance plant efficiency.
  • Work alongside the training coordinator to implement training programs for all direct reports.
  • Oversee employee timecards and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage part purchases necessary for maintaining the facility and machinery.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical skills and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics related to electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual capabilities are a plus.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree is preferred.
  • Five years of mechanical experience is required, preferably in injection molding.
  • Physical ability to climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
