About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Heat Tech Industrial. As a key member of our Estimating Team, you will be responsible for preparing and developing detailed estimates for complex industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and coordinate the preparation of full estimates for industrial projects, including industrial painting and coating, scaffolding, mechanical insulation, and more.
  • Develop and maintain production units according to industry standards.
  • Work with clients, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality estimates.
  • Supervise and advise other estimators and interns as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bid packages.
  • Provide value engineering and cost estimation services.
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and scope to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Communicate with customers, owners, vendors, and trades to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Secure vendor pricing and select vendors and subcontractors based on cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure complete scope coverage.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings with estimating staff and assist project managers with buyouts and change orders.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in estimating industrial and commercial construction projects.
  • Professional education and/or experience in the construction and/or relevant industries.
  • Thorough understanding of estimating and/or construction management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent math and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and ideas.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Desired Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in construction and estimating.
  • Degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Viewpoint.
