Position Overview: Omniscius Consulting is in search of a Cybersecurity Systems Security Specialist to provide essential support to a federal client. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing the technical cybersecurity initiatives of the organization, working closely with senior security personnel and compliance leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main liaison for the Cybersecurity Division, addressing all technical cybersecurity inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist in evaluating technical risks within the organization and formulate strategies to address these vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior security officers to ensure that cybersecurity initiatives align with the broader objectives of the organization.
  • Support the Compliance Branch Lead in implementing cybersecurity projects and initiatives.
  • Engage collaboratively across various active projects under the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for systems designated for support.
  • Establish and oversee cybersecurity protocols and safeguards to secure information systems and infrastructure.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, audits, and reviews to verify adherence to cybersecurity policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, with a solid foundation in technical risk assessment and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior information security officers and compliance leaders.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or tasks concurrently, showcasing effective prioritization and time management abilities.
