Position Summary
The Quality Technician II plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall quality and compliance of our products. This advanced position requires extensive expertise in quality control and assurance methodologies. The role involves working the Pitman Night shift, which consists of rotating 12-hour shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of output samples utilizing industry-standard techniques.
  • Ensure that production lines adhere to established standards and legal requirements.
  • Analyze blueprints and specifications to verify product conformity.
  • Document inspection findings by preparing reports, summarizing rework and waste, and entering data into the quality database.
  • Train production personnel on quality control practices to enhance product quality.
  • Recommend enhancements to the production process.
  • Monitor equipment usage to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and radiographs.
  • Perform testing at various stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Gather and compile statistical quality data.
  • Assist in developing testing methods and inspection plans.
  • Identify root causes of product defects and scrap.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated.
  • Execute quality controls as per Work Instructions (WI) on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Propose improvements to WI to minimize scrap and enhance product performance.
  • Enhance the capability for detailed analysis and process improvement.
  • Continuously support production staff on WI, quality, and process issues in collaboration with management.
  • Create statistical analyses and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished products as necessary.
  • Utilize and maintain measurement instruments according to WI and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and suggest enhancements to management regarding production recipes for various process steps.
  • Audit operations and recommend improvements to quality control tools used in production.
  • Provide regular reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and statistical software.
  • Strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Education and Experience
Experience in a technical manufacturing role is required, with prior experience in PV module manufacturing preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
Hourly wage: $26.00
