Position Overview

The Quality Technician II plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall quality and compliance of products within our organization. This advanced position requires a higher level of expertise and experience in quality control and assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting inspections of output samples using industry-standard methods.
  • Ensuring that production lines adhere to established standards and legal requirements.
  • Reviewing technical drawings and specifications to verify product conformity.
  • Documenting inspection results by preparing reports, summarizing reworks and waste, and entering data into the quality database.
  • Training production staff on quality control practices to enhance product excellence.
  • Identifying and proposing enhancements to the production process.
  • Monitoring equipment usage to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs.
  • Performing tests at various stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Collecting and analyzing statistical quality data.
  • Assisting in the development of testing methods and inspection protocols.
  • Investigating root causes of product defects and scrap.
  • Verifying proper calibration of all equipment.
  • Executing quality controls according to Work Instructions (WI) for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Recommending improvements to WI to minimize waste and enhance product performance.
  • Enhancing the capacity for detailed analysis and process improvement.
  • Providing ongoing support to production staff regarding WI, quality, and process challenges in collaboration with management.
  • Generating statistical analyses and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished products as needed.
  • Utilizing and maintaining measurement instruments in accordance with WI and safety standards.
  • Monitoring and suggesting enhancements to management regarding production recipes for various process steps.
  • Auditing operations and recommending improvements to quality control tools used in production.
  • Providing management with hourly reports via email.
Qualifications

Skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel, as well as statistical software.
  • Strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Education and Experience
  • Experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred experience in photovoltaic module manufacturing.
