Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production during a designated shift, managing staff, ensuring quality assurance, monitoring machinery, and addressing all daily operational aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all operational personnel adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Provide ongoing training and technical support to operational staff, ensuring compliance with work instructions and best practices.
- Identify and report any defective or non-conforming products.
- Conduct quality control assessments as per work instructions and directives from production and quality leaders.
- Maintain product traceability and its components through effective use of the Data Collection System, ensuring its continuous functionality.
- Monitor raw material inventory levels necessary for production schedules, initiating replenishment and ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to address maintenance issues, following established procedures.
- Engage with Lead Hands and the previous and subsequent shift supervisors to communicate problems and solutions encountered during shifts.
- Promptly inform the Production Manager of any production, quality, process, or personnel-related issues observed.
- Propose enhancements to procedures and processes to optimize yield and operational uptime.
- Maintain proficiency in all tasks related to product manufacturing and provide coverage for operational staff during breaks or absences.
- Be available for overtime as required.
- Work to minimize the likelihood of accidents and quality concerns.
- Enhance the technical knowledge and engagement of the operations team.
- Maximize equipment uptime and ensure the traceability and quality of finished products.
- Achieve production targets and improvements set by the Production Manager.
- Foster a spirit of collaboration within the shift.
- Communicate relevant company information to the shift as necessary.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that improvements and efficiencies are maximized across the organization.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production environment.
- Familiarity with process improvement, budgeting, and production standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in production planning, controls, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of MRP and/or ERP systems.
- Annual salary range of $68,000 - $73,000.
- Eligibility for an annual bonus of up to 10% of salary.
