Position Summary
The Quality Technician II plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall quality and compliance of products within our organization. This advanced position requires a higher level of expertise and experience in quality assurance and control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of output samples using industry-standard methods.
  • Ensure adherence to assembly and production standards and legal requirements.
  • Review blueprints and specifications to verify product compliance.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into the quality database.
  • Train production personnel on quality control measures to enhance product quality.
  • Recommend improvements to production processes.
  • Monitor equipment usage to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and radiographs.
  • Perform testing at various stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Collect and analyze statistical quality data.
  • Assist in developing testing methods and inspection plans.
  • Identify root causes of product defects and waste.
  • Verify calibration of all equipment.
  • Conduct quality controls on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products according to Work Instructions (WIs).
  • Propose enhancements to WIs to minimize waste and improve product performance.
  • Support production staff on quality and process issues in collaboration with management.
  • Create statistical analyses and reports on the quality of materials and finished products as needed.
  • Utilize and maintain measurement instruments according to WIs and safety standards.
  • Provide management with recommendations for improving production recipes.
  • Monitor and audit operations, suggesting enhancements to quality control tools used in production.
  • Deliver hourly reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and statistical software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in a technical manufacturing role.
