About the Role

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Leader. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading front-end operations, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage front-end operations, including cash handling, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with store management to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Train and develop front-end associates to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean store environment, adhering to company safety standards.
  • Perform cashier and service desk functions, as needed.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Requirements
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or food service.
  • Knowledge of store operations and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
